The News of Borders Opening Has Excited Thousands of Armenians: 'Pats'

“Pats” newspaper writes, “As is known, numerous restrictions on travel were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic since last year. Countries literally closed their borders with some partial exceptions. Yesterday, it became known that the governments of Armenia and Russia reached an agreement, and based on a negative coronavirus test, Armenian citizens will have the opportunity to travel to Russia by air to specific airports, the list of which has been published by the Russian government.

Beginning February 1, the 'Travel Without COVID-19' program will be launched, which is currently pilot and will run until March 1. 'Pats' newspaper received information throughout yesterday that this news has been broadly received among our citizens. According to our sources, following the announcement of this 'good news' during the government meeting, airline phones have literally not stopped ringing as thousands of people are trying to get detailed information and purchase tickets as soon as possible to travel to the Russian Federation.”
