VIDEO: The Robot Farmer is Now Operational, Harvesting Crops Independently
The robot farmer has been released in Japanese gardens, where it has successfully begun to harvest ripe apples and pears. The artificial intelligence determines the readiness of the fruit, while a manipulator with three 'fingers' picks the fruit. The machine then elegantly packages everything, even preparing it for display.
