Opposition Leaders and Robert Kocharyan Have Different Intentions: What Awaits at the End of the Week

According to well-informed sources from the newspaper, opposition leaders are set to meet after a long hiatus, possibly this Saturday.

Our information indicates that the leaders of the ARF, Prosperous Armenia, Republican Party of Armenia, and the Homeland Party will convene, with former President Robert Kocharyan also in attendance.

According to our sources, the leaders plan to inform each other that they no longer wish to continue under the umbrella of the "Homeland Salvation Movement" and that the struggle needs to shift to a different format. All parties are blaming each other for a lack of decisiveness.

Some opposition leaders believe that early parliamentary elections should be pursued, while others argue against reaching any such agreement with the current authorities.

Interestingly, according to the same sources, secret surveys have been conducted regarding Robert Kocharyan in the regions and Yerevan, including by several embassies and state structures, which have revealed that his popularity is on the rise.

By the end of the week, it will become clear what path the Armenian opposition intends to take. It is evident that the political leaders of the mentioned alliance have already rejected their proposed prime ministerial candidate, Vazgen Manukyan, but it is not ruled out that Manukyan will also be present at the leaders' gathering to clarify his future plans.

The newspaper attempted to contact the office of the second President of Armenia to confirm whether R. Kocharyan will attend the meeting, but no response was received.
