Armenia has turned from a partner and ally of Russia into a protectorate of the RF, says Kocharyan
“Do you know what status a country receives when it cannot defend itself? We have not lost Syunik for one reason—the Russian military base and the agreement with the RF,” said the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, in an interview with several media outlets today.
According to him, Armenia is effectively a protectorate of the RF in the South Caucasus today. “This government has turned us from a military-political ally of the RF into its protectorate. Ironically, those who were protesting near the RF embassy to remove the Russian military base from Armenia have done this. Today, General Muradov plays a greater role in security issues than the Supreme Commander of Armenia. We must do everything to return and become a military-political ally of the RF,” Kocharyan stated.
