Mekhak Arzumanyan Appointed Director of Emergency Services at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh

According to a decree by the President of Artsakh, Lieutenant Colonel Mekhak Alexeyi Arzumanyan has been appointed as the Director of the Emergency Services within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh.

Biography of Mekhak Arzumanyan:

Born: June 19, 1982, in Stepanakert.

Education:

From 1989 to 1999, he studied at Stepanakert's Y. Charents Secondary School No. 7. In 2002, he was admitted to the distance learning department of the Faculty of Humanities at Artsakh State University, graduating in 2007 with a degree in Civil Defense and Physical Education. He studied at the Academy of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia from 2008 to 2010.

Service in the Armed Forces of Artsakh:

From 2000 to 2002, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Artsakh.

Professional Experience:

In 2003, he began working at the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh (formerly the Emergency Situations Department) as a rescuer. He was appointed as a squad commander in 2005, group commander in 2010, and commander of the rapid response specialized unit in 2011. On June 2, 2020, he was appointed head of the Rescue Forces Department. On December 1 of the same year, he was appointed deputy director by order of the director of the Emergency Situations Service. According to a decree from the President of Artsakh in 2021, he was appointed as the Director of the Emergency Situations Service.

In 2012, awarded the "Best Firefighter Rescuer" medal. In 2014, awarded the "Prime Minister's Commemorative Medal" by the Prime Minister of Artsakh. In 2016, received the "Gratitude" medal from the President of Artsakh in connection with a professional holiday. In 2016, awarded the "Marshal Baghramyan" medal by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. In 2017, awarded the "Heroic Rescuer" departmental medal by the Director of the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh. In 2020, he was awarded the first class "Combat Cross" by the decree of the President of Artsakh.
