Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, has announced a complete victory against the spread of coronavirus in the republic, reports "Sputnik Tajikistan." According to him, there are currently no cases of COVID-19 in the country, and the pathogen has been "entirely eradicated." At the same time, the head of state urged citizens to adhere to sanitary regulations, particularly when visiting mosques.

According to the latest data, since the beginning of the pandemic, Tajikistan has recorded 13,308 cases of coronavirus, with 90 patients having died, while the remaining infected individuals have successfully overcome the illness. Since December 30, no new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the republic.
