Vagharshak Harutyunyan Visits Unified Command Post of Aviation with Accompaniment from Russian Air Defense Leadership

On January 26, the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, visited one of the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Armenia, accompanied by the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces' air defense. Harutyunyan visited the Unified Command Post of the Air Defense and Aviation of the Armed Forces, from which joint efforts are being made to carry out combat duty for the protection of Armenia's air borders by the air defense forces of the RA Armed Forces and the air defense units of the Russian 102nd military base.

The Minister of Defense was informed that the around-the-clock duty is proceeding normally, and no incidents of airspace violations have been recorded. Harutyunyan emphasized the necessity of deepening Armenian-Russian military cooperation, including in the field of air defense, highlighting the protection of Armenia's air borders as one of the best examples of cooperation through unified efforts.

Major General Armen Vardanyan, the head of the air defense troops of the RA Armed Forces, and the command staff presented the Minister of Defense with the progress of joint work and forthcoming tasks.
