Iran, Turkey, Russia, as well as other countries, are expressing interest in the restoration of the economy of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"We have no doubts that Iran will be interested in joining these projects. Russia will also be directly involved in the efforts stemming from the agreements on the unblocking of economic and transport ties. In light of this, there are already special programs in place, and a trilateral mechanism has been established at the level of deputy prime ministers that will hold its first meeting soon. Besides Russia, Iran, and Turkey, there are many others who wish to join the restoration of the economy," Lavrov stated after negotiations with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
As the Russian minister noted, there are more and more initiatives emerging today, indicating that Russia, Turkey, and Iran are striving to build new relations in the region, taking into account the new realities.
