Aravabuyr Community Leader and His Friend Assaulted by Police and Hospitalized

Khachatur Grigoryan, a 41-year-old resident of the village of Aravabuyr, contacted the operational management center of the police in Yerevan, stating that a day earlier, he and his friend were assaulted by officers of the Masis police department at the Masis hospital, during which they were handcuffed and Grigoryan sustained a broken leg, reports shamshyan.com.
According to the source, on the same day at 03:00, the police received a call from the Erebuni medical center, reporting that a citizen with "abrasions in the left hip area" had been admitted. An operational group from the Erebuni police department arrived at the hospital, establishing that the citizen was 31-year-old Jivani Manukyan, a resident of the Aravabuyr village in the Ararat region. He reported that he had been assaulted at the Masis police station. Following this, Grigoryan underwent examination with a diagnosis of "after metal osteosynthesis of the left leg bones." He also stated that he had been assaulted at the Masis police station.
