Volume of Bilateral Trade Between Armenia and Iran to Reach One Billion Dollars, Says Armenian Minister of Economy

The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, stated: “The volume of bilateral trade between Armenia and Iran is set to reach one billion dollars. One of the Armenian Ministry of Economy's programs is to increase the volume of co-production and trade with Iran.” The minister made this statement during a meeting with Abbas Razai, the governor of Iran's Isfahan province. According to 1lurer.am, this was reported by Pars Today.

Kerobyan noted, “Iranian producers can take advantage of the potential available in Armenia to complement and export their products.” Abbas Razai mentioned during the meeting with Minister Kerobyan, held at one of Isfahan's hotels on Sunday, “Isfahan has more than 10,000 industrial units, making it a suitable location for investors, and neighboring countries can utilize the potentials of this province in various sectors for investment.”

“Due to harsh sanctions, barriers have been imposed on trade relations and investments,” added the governor of Isfahan.

The delegation led by Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan arrived in Tehran on Friday to conduct negotiations aimed at increasing the trade volume between the two countries. The minister also met with Alirez Razm Hoseyni, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, and Abdolnaser Hemmati, director of the Central Bank of Iran, in Tehran.
