The Enemy Fears Our Unity; If We Lapse, We Will Perish. The Commander's Message

During the third gathering of the "Voice of the Homeland" initiative, a message from the hero of Artsakh, the commander of the Shushi liberation operation, legendary Major General was voiced. In his message, he stated:

"I see here representatives of our people who are concerned about the situation in their country, who see that the homeland and statehood are in danger. We know that throughout history, the identity of Armenians has been preserved by our culture, language, and faith. These are the foundational civilizational values with which our other characteristics and merits have conditioned our existence for millennia. Without these values, we would not have our place in the world and on the political map today, thus the unity of our figures in culture, science, education, and the church is more significant than ever to jointly undertake this initiative.

However, to exit the current situation with honor, we must unite as a nation and utilize the full potential of professional and authoritative representatives from all sectors of our healthy societal forces. We must be able to preserve what remains from Armenia and Artsakh, ensure the stability of a secure state and its governance system to develop at this pace, and lay the groundwork for the restoration of what has been lost.

Dear attendees, I am sure you know my purpose, my dream; I have given and continue to give my duty to my homeland as a commander in the Armenian army. I do not pursue any personal goals. Today, a situation has matured where we all must rise above our narrow personal, political, and other interests, if any exist, and, clenched as a fist, think and act as one.

I am confident that if the recognized and esteemed representatives of a nation stand up united, articulate their joint position on the solutions to today's problems, create a plan of sequential actions, and present a joint call to the people, then the healthy part of that very people will rally around them with great attraction, forming a tremendous force that no incompetent authority can withstand.

Only after that will the opportunity arise for us to return to our core work. Therefore, let us acknowledge that the fate of our state and people depends on us, and let us remember that today's enemy is, as always, treacherous and cowardly. He fears such unity; if we delay or falter in our actions, the consequence will be complete destruction."
