Iran to Start Construction of Railway Near Azerbaijan Border
Construction of a railway terminal will soon begin in the Parsabad region of Iran's northwestern Ardabil province. Ardabil Governor Akbar Behnamjou announced this, as reported by Trend.
He noted that a contract was signed during the 14th meeting of the Iran-Azerbaijan cooperation commission in the fields of economy, trade, and humanitarian issues. Behnamjou stated that the first 25 kilometers of the railway have already been constructed.
The governor emphasized that the railway will facilitate an increase in the volume of agricultural product exports from Ardabil province to Azerbaijan, Russia, and Central Asian countries.
