Artsakh President Meets with Martakert District Leadership
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, traveled to the city of Martakert on January 24 and met with the district administration, community leaders, and heads of enterprises. Also attending the meeting was Artsakh hero, Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army's N Division, Karen Shakharyan. This was reported by the President's Office.
The country's leader presented the current post-war situation, the sequence of steps being taken by the Government, and highlighted the priorities in security, humanitarian, and socio-economic sectors that have shaped the action agenda for the state management system.
Regarding the ongoing program to accommodate homeless citizens in the district's communities, President Harutyunyan urged to enhance efforts in this direction, emphasizing that the Government will create various opportunities for the economic activities of citizens settling in rural communities in the near future.
During the meeting, the President also answered questions from attendees. Following this, Arayik Harutyunyan, accompanied by the spiritual leader of Martakert, Father Hovhannes, visited the St. John the Baptist Church in Martakert, which is currently under reconstruction. He inspected the construction work being carried out on site and promised that the state would provide the necessary support to complete the construction work within a short period of time.
