Armed Robbery in Goris: Two Suspects Arrested
On January 21, at 16:15, a man reported to the Goris police department that around 1:20 he was approached by a "VAZ-2106" car in the village of Karashen in the Syunik region. The driver offered to take him to Stepanakert for a fee. After failing to come to an agreement, the man declined the offer. The driver, suspecting that the man was a foreigner, forced him into the car and headed towards Goris.
A civilian wearing military uniform also entered the vehicle and threatened the man with a pistol, stating that he would shoot if he did not remain calm. They stole cash, a mobile phone, and a Wi-Fi router from the man. The suspects then drove him to the village of Tegh in Syunik and left him there.
As a result of operational and investigative measures, information was obtained indicating that the crime may have been committed by two 37-year-old residents of Goris. They were quickly located and brought to the Goris investigative department. One of the men produced the stolen mobile phone along with its case and the router.
Both suspects were arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
