Challenging Test for Parliamentarians: 'Hraparak'

Independent MP Tigran Urikhanyan recently proposed a legislative initiative that suggests parliamentarians should allocate a portion of their monthly allowances to support individuals who have gained first-degree disabilities during wartime.

This specifically pertains to the monthly compensation of 50,000 drams allocated to each MP for expenses related to their parliamentary duties, which does not include their salary or bonuses. Consequently, this initiative could channel approximately 80 million drams annually to those with disabilities.

The draft law is currently under intense discussion within the parliament, particularly among the MPs themselves. Some are not in favor of the proposal, and it is possible that they will attempt to delay its introduction into the agenda.

This is reported by the 'Hraparak' newspaper.
