Accident in Artik: Victims in Serious Condition

On January 21, at 23:59, the Shirak regional crisis management center received a report about a traffic accident on the Artik-Pemzashen highway.

A firefighting rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that vehicles identified as “VAZ-2109” (driver: A. M., born in 1986) and “VAZ-2112” (driver: H. M.) collided at the intersection of Shahumyan-Tumanyan streets in the city of Artik.

Rescuers extracted the drivers from the vehicles and a passenger (R. H., born in 1979) of the “VAZ-2109” vehicle and brought them to the ambulances. The injured were hospitalized at the Artik Medical Center and subsequently transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center.

Doctors have assessed the health condition of the victims as serious.

Rescuers disconnected the cars from power and closed the gas valve of the “VAZ-2112” vehicle.
