Why Gevorg Petrosyan Did Not Participate in the Q&A Session with the Government: Perhaps It's Tsarukyan's Decision
After November 9, the Bright Armenia Party (BAP) rejected any meetings involving Prime Minister Pashinyan, asserting that they could not discuss any matters with a "traitor" government, especially regarding Pashinyan's resignation and a smooth power transition. However, some parliament members attended the Q&A session with the government yesterday. When we inquired why Gevorg Petrosyan, who did not participate in the session, was absent, he stated: "Out of respect for my colleagues' decisions, I cannot disagree with your question. If we say this certain person is a state traitor, then I don't think we should discuss any questions with him. That's one reason, along with my health issues, why I did not attend. Whom should I ask, a traitor? How reliable will his answers be? How guaranteed is it that his responses will serve the state’s interests?"
We questioned whether this was perhaps Gagik Tsarukyan's decision. Petrosyan replied, "I have not had any discussions with anyone on that topic, but I assume my colleagues merely participated in a regular meeting. Personally, I have no desire to see that man in the National Assembly, a person because of whom thousands of people lost their lives, tens of thousands became disabled, we lost our lands, and thousands of children are missing. What should I ask him, what he plans to do regarding improving transportation? Isn't that shameful? We have prisoners of war, yet the Prime Minister shows up in the National Assembly like it’s a show. I cannot understand that. Why are you here? You should be dealing with our prisoners. Want to take a bribe? Do whatever you want."
In Petrosyan's view, Nikol Pashinyan could only do one thing well: keep chickens, "because he feeds them well." This information was reported by the newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak."
