Remains of 1 Soldier Found
On January 19, during search operations, the remains of one soldier were discovered in Mehakavan. The body was unrecognizable, and a forensic examination has been ordered. This was confirmed in a conversation with Hetq by Hunan Tadevosyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the State Emergency Service of Artsakh.
The search operations were carried out in the directions of Hadrut, Varanda (Fizuli), Mehakavan (Jabrayil), and Kovisakan (Zangelan).
On January 20, no search operations will be conducted. "January 20 is considered a day of mourning in Azerbaijan, known as 'Black January,' and therefore we have not been permitted to carry out search operations. Additionally, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the efforts would have been futile even if they were initiated," Hunan Tadevosyan noted.
Since the end of the war, a total of 1,247 remains have been found as a result of search operations.
