Red Lines to be Removed in 10 Administrative Districts of Yerevan

The National Assembly of Armenia has adopted in the second reading and fully accepted the draft law proposed by MPs Sisak Gabrielian and Arusyak Julhakyan from the My Step faction, which aims to eliminate 'red lines' in 10 out of Yerevan's 12 administrative districts.

According to Armenpress, the draft law was passed with 84 votes in favor and 7 against. The red lines will be removed in these 10 administrative districts, meaning that the Yerevan municipality will no longer be able to penalize citizens using two photographs.

Red lines will only remain in the Kentron administrative district and certain areas of the Arabkir administrative district. Additionally, citizens will only be fined in cases where there is a 15-minute video evidence of the violation.
