National Assembly Ratifies Armenia-Kazakhstan Agreement
The National Assembly of Armenia today, on January 20, ratified the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the Republic of Armenia on eliminating double taxation of income and preventing tax avoidance, signed on November 6, 2006.
"The agreement will create favorable conditions for tax cooperation," said Ashot Muradyan, Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee, during the parliamentary session.
The agreement will simplify the recognition of official documents and help prevent double taxation. Furthermore, the documents issued by the competent authorities of Kazakhstan will be accepted in Armenia, and vice versa, without the need for notarization.
This document has already been ratified in Kazakhstan. Armenia has similar agreements with 47 countries.
