Kadyrov Announces Destruction of Last Underground Gang in Chechnya
The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has announced the destruction of the last underground gang in the republic. He shared this information on his official Telegram channel.
“Employees of the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs successfully carried out a special operation on the outskirts of Kattar-Yurt, which concluded with the elimination of Aslan Byutukaev's gang, consisting of 6 individuals who were on federal wanted lists. Thus, underground gangs have been completely eradicated in the republic,” he elaborated.
Kadyrov also mentioned that the special operation had been planned for a long time, and he personally participated in the development of the operation. “All six militants of Byutukaev's gang were eliminated on the spot, and none managed to escape. We have solved the issue of restoring order in the Chechen Republic and eliminating terrorists on behalf of the Supreme Commander. All wanted militants under Byutukaev have been destroyed,” Kadyrov wrote.
The republic's head added that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been aware of the special operation from the very beginning. “He personally made adjustments and instructed that the operation be carried out as professionally as possible, without any personnel losses. I personally reported to the president about the successful elimination of the gang. Vladimir Putin congratulated us on the successful special operation and separately praised the employees of the Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov Police Regiment for their professionalism and heroic actions during the elimination of the gang,” he concluded.
