Earthquake of 4.5 Magnitude Occurs in Austria
Today, January 20, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the federal state of Styria, located in southeastern Austria. Buildings in the epicentral area have suffered slight damage, according to the earthquake service of the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics of Austria (ZAMG).
“On January 20, at 8:30 AM Central European Time (10:30 AM Yerevan time), a strong earthquake of 4.5 magnitude took place 6 kilometers west of Admont/Styria,” the report stated. The earthquake was felt at the epicenter, as well as in much of Austria.
