Arayik Harutyunyan Receives Members of the Scientific Council of Artsakh State University
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, received members of the Scientific Council of Artsakh State University on January 20.
During the meeting, conducted in a question-and-answer format, discussions were held on challenges in the post-war era, internal and external politics, and priorities and prospects for the development of the education and science sectors. The President emphasized the vital role of Artsakh State University as a key educational institution in enhancing educational quality, training skilled professionals, and nurturing the younger generation, highlighting that the state would spare no effort in supporting the students and faculty of the university.
According to President Harutyunyan, students studying in the distance learning Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at Artsakh State University for the 2020-2021 academic year will be exempt from the burden of tuition fees, with costs compensated by the government of the Republic of Artsakh.
The rector of Artsakh State University, Armen Sargsyan, expressed gratitude to the President on behalf of the academic staff for the meeting, which took place in a direct atmosphere, pledging to present a new program aimed at improving and developing the university's educational process in the near future.
