Video: See the Inhumane Conditions in Which Soldiers Who Participated in the War Live, Parents Alert

Auroranews has received alarming reports from the parents of soldiers who participated in the second war in Artsakh. They state that after enduring the hardships of war, their children are now living in inhumane conditions.

“It has been a long time since those extremely difficult days. Initially, we thought the country was in chaos, which is why we remained silent about the situation, but it has been about 2.5 months since the end of the war, and we can no longer stay quiet. Previously, we saw that our silence did not bring any benefit. We did not speak about the problems in the army, but perhaps that was a mistake. Look at the conditions in which our children are living. They have been allocated a half-constructed building in the territory of Jermuk, which is not even heated and lacks proper windows. The parents have tried to replace a couple of windows and bring stoves, so that the kids at least have a place to sleep in shifts,” the parents of the soldiers stated in an interview with us, whose names we cannot disclose for understandable reasons.

According to them, the number of boys in the half-finished building is not large: “We don’t expect our children to live in royal conditions, but just look at where they are living. There are about 80 soldiers; their number is not so large that they could not rent a normal building. It’s winter, and our hearts ache. We are sitting at home comfortably, while they do not even have the opportunity to bathe, eat properly, or be in a warm room. We know that the children will feel bad knowing we spoke out about this, but we could no longer remain silent.”

Auroranews received the report about two days ago. During this time, we have regularly tried to contact representatives of the Ministry of Defense in order to present their perspective or, if necessary, note that such complaints exist and that parents are asking for this issue to be resolved. We were prepared to refrain from publishing any materials, but up to this point, we have not succeeded in speaking with them.
