VIDEO: Explanation is needed regarding the disgraceful statement on the loss of samples from the genocide museum's funds
Anna Kostanyan, a member of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, is preparing to submit a proposal to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, to summon the Prime Minister's chief advisor, Araik Harutyunyan, who was the former Minister of Education, to provide explanations regarding his statements made in May 2020. These statements indicated that the funds of the Armenian Genocide museum-institute are closed and that some samples from these funds have gone missing. Kostanyan announced this during the parliamentary hour.
“In addition to the fact that these two terms—‘closed funds’ and ‘some samples missing’—are problematic statements, especially for the international community and Armenia's foreign policy, the term ‘closed fund’ could simply be replaced with 'sacred'. In addition, I received written information from this ministry that since October 2018, work has already begun on the re-registration of the museum funds based on these losses, which, as of May 27, 2020, were still ongoing and were supposed to be completed by June of the same year,
