Tensions Rise in Robert Kocharyan and Others' Case as Parties Shout at Each Other, Break Announced
The court session in the case of Robert Kocharyan and others continues. Earlier in the session, tensions escalated sharply as the parties began to shout at each other.
When prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan started speaking about Shushi, declaring that he does not defend the surrenderers, an announcement was made from the other side.
“Dear court, I ask for clarification. I thought it was announced that I was the one who surrendered. Who said that I was the one who surrendered? Please clarify and present a report,” he stated.
At that moment, Yury Khachaturov responded, making some statement that was inaudible. “What does it mean that I am one of the surrenderers? Why am I a surrenderer?” shouted the prosecutor.
“Why are you shouting?” responded defense attorney Aram Vardevanyan in a high tone from his seat. The tensions rose sharply again as the parties confronted each other, after which the court announced a break for half an hour.
