Six New Cases of Coronavirus Disease Discovered in Artsakh

On January 18, 42 tests were conducted in Artsakh, resulting in the confirmation of six new cases of coronavirus disease. The infected individuals are residents of Stepanakert city and have previously been identified as contacts of various confirmed clusters. This information was provided by the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.

"Specialists from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh's Center for Epidemiology and Hygiene have carried out disinfection work in the confirmed clusters, as well as collected samples from the contacts of the confirmed cases for testing. A total of 2,240 cases of coronavirus disease have been confirmed in Artsakh, of which 31 resulted in death. Currently, 43 infected individuals are receiving inpatient treatment due to coronavirus, while mild cases are receiving outpatient treatment at home. A total of 18,551 tests have been conducted," the statement noted.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh again urges the public to follow the guidelines to avoid new outbreaks and to overcome the coronavirus infection as soon as possible.
