Protest Action: "Those Who Sold Shushi Against Those Who Liberated Shushi" Before Kocharyan's Court Hearing
Supporters of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan have gathered in front of the Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan in defense of Kocharyan. Today, at 1:00 PM, another court session is scheduled for Kocharyan and others involved in the case.
Those gathered in front of the court are holding banners with messages such as "The power that sold Shushi against the heroes who liberated Shushi," "Why are you fulfilling Azerbaijan's orders, prosecutor?" and "On whose orders was March 1 stitched together?".
It is noteworthy that the second president of Armenia is involved in a criminal case regarding the events of March 1, 2008. A case against him was initiated after the change of power in Armenia in 2018. Robert Kocharyan has been detained three times, spending a total of 500 days in detention. In June 2020, the Court of Appeals ruled to release him on bail. Kocharyan is currently at liberty.
