Lawmakers Discuss Government Bill on Amendments to Education Law

The National Assembly discussed the government bill aimed at establishing legal bases for the management of state administrative registries in Armenia's educational system for second reading and full adoption. The bill was presented by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Zhanna Andreasian.

"The purpose of the bill is to create legal foundations for the implementation of information management and administrative registry functions in the education sector, to establish several empowering norms that needed to be codified at the law level following amendments to the Constitution, and specifically pertains to the definition of reporting formats related to licensing, annexes, and the activities of licensed individuals," said Andreasian.

The bill amending the Law on Education of the Republic of Armenia was adopted in the first reading on September 18, 2020.
