Eight Remains Discovered in Hadrut, Jabrayil, and Kubatlu Directions, Including One Civilian

The rapid response units of the State Emergency Service have been continuing rescue and search operations in settlements and positional areas that have fallen under enemy control since November 13, 2020. This was reported by the Artsakh Emergency Situations Ministry.

On January 18, operations took place in the directions of Hadrut, Mekhakavan/Jabrayil, and Vorotan/Kubatlu. Eight more remains were discovered, one of which is identified as a civilian.

The civilian's identity has been confirmed as Arsen Gharamanyan, a resident of Hadrut city born in 1976. His remains were found in the vicinity of Aygestan village in Hadrut.

An additional five bodies were found near Mekhakavan, one in Aygestan, and one remains from the former administrative territory of David Bek village in Syunik Province.

In total, the rescuers of Artsakh have discovered 1,246 remains of servicemen and civilians who participated in military operations from November 13, 2020, to January 18, 2021. The search operations also involve relatives of the servicemen and accompanying volunteers familiar with the area.

Currently, search efforts are ongoing in the areas of Varanda/Fizuli, Jraghakan/Jabrayil, Hadrut, Kovsakan/Zangelan regions, and the former administrative territory of Meghri city in Syunik Province.
