Car Accident on Shosh-Stepanakert Highway, Casualties Reported
A short time ago, the 911 emergency service's crisis management center received a report about a road traffic accident. The incident occurred on the 3rd kilometer of the highway from the village of Shosh in the Askeran region towards Stepanakert, as stated by the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations.
An operational group from the rapid response special division has been dispatched to the scene. It has been established that a resident of the village of Mkhitarashen in the Askeran region, born in 1997, Z.O., lost control of his "PAJERO" vehicle, veering off the roadway and plunging approximately 80 meters down into a gorge, becoming trapped in a layer of snow.
Using rescue and technical special equipment, Artsakh rescuers managed to retrieve the victims from the gorge. The driver, along with passengers N.O. born in 1995 and A.A. born in 2001 from Stepanakert, sustained varying degrees of bodily injuries and were transported to the republican medical center. Their condition is reported as satisfactory.
Representatives of the Artsakh Police and the emergency medical team were working at the scene.
