The Destruction of the Building Continues: Davit Khajakyan Reports a Crime

Yerevan City Council member Davit Khajakyan, head of the 'Luys' faction, has reported a crime on his Facebook page.

He specifically mentioned: 'For weeks, illegal construction work for an attic floor has been taking place on the roof of the building at 5 Sayat Nova in the center of the capital. The building, which has architectural value and is part of Yerevan's skyline, is being degraded. There have been reports both to the city's hotlines and the head of the Kentron district is aware of the issue, but the destruction of the building continues.'

'Moreover, this illegality is happening just a hundred meters away from the Kentron district mayor's window, yet due to various interests, many complaints have gone unanswered. I appeal to the law enforcement agencies to investigate why such an illegality occurs in the heart of the capital with the city's officials turning a blind eye, and why construction work continues after the alerts.'

'The roof of the building must be restored to its original condition immediately.'
