Rules for Armenian Citizens Entering Russia Published

Restrictions on entry into Russia for foreign citizens due to the coronavirus pandemic, established on March 16, remain in place until now.

However, all foreign citizens, including Armenians, can enter Russia under certain grounds. This information was reported by the press service of the Union of Armenians in Russia, citing a decree published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website (No. 635-r).

Specifically, the following groups are allowed entry into Russia:

  1. Armenian citizens with a residence permit entering Russia through air entry points.
  2. Family members of Russian citizens (spouses, parents, children, adopted children) who are Armenian citizens can enter by presenting copies of identification documents and documents proving their degree of kinship.
  3. Armenian citizens entering Russia for medical treatment, provided they present copies of identification documents as well as documents provided by the medical institution.
  4. Armenian citizens who are family members of participants in the state program for voluntary resettlement.
  5. Individuals entering Russia to take care of sick relatives (spouses, parents, children, adopted children) must present a copy of their identification document and a document issued by the medical institution.

When entering Russia, Armenian citizens must present a negative PCR test result. The results of the coronavirus detection test must be obtained no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Russia.
