Over Two Tons of Cocaine Seized in Spain

ARMENPRESS: Spanish law enforcement agencies have halted the activities of a criminal organization involved in large-scale drug trafficking. This was stated in a press release issued by the national police of the country on January 18, as reported by 'Armenpress.'

According to police information, officers seized more than two tons of cocaine during the operation. A total of 12 individuals were arrested. The investigation lasted for more than a year.

Law enforcement officials discovered the drugs in one of the containers that had been brought from Paraguay to the port of Algeciras (Autonomous Community of Andalusia). The cocaine was hidden within 40 tons of coal imported into the kingdom, TASS reports.
