New COVID-19 Cases Identified in Artsakh

As of January 18, at 11:00 AM, 58 new tests conducted in Artsakh have confirmed 8 cases of coronavirus infection. According to a report by Armenpress, this information was provided by the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.

“Six of the infected individuals are from the Noragyugh community in the Askeran region, while two are residents of Stepanakert city. Specialists from the Ministry of Health’s Center for Epidemiology and Hygiene have carried out disinfection work in the confirmed hotspots, as well as sampling for testing from contacts of the confirmed cases,” the report stated.

In total, 2,234 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Artsakh, with 31 resulting in death. Currently, 50 infected individuals are receiving inpatient treatment, and 18,509 tests have been conducted. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh once again urges the public to follow guidelines to avoid new outbreaks and to overcome the coronavirus infection as soon as possible,” it added.
