I am one of the relatives of the missing, but I am confident that we all realize how sensitive the issue is: MP

MP Nazeli Baghdasaryan from the 'My Step' faction drew attention during her speech to the fact that opposition faction members are not present in the National Assembly hall after the break. 'Do you know why? In the first segment, a show had to be staged, and fiery speeches were made before leaving. The first goal was achieved. However, I believe there are topics that should not be exploited and discussed at this level,' she noted, referring to the speeches of opposition faction members in the National Assembly.

'I understand that the sensitive issue regarding prisoners is currently being endlessly exploited, but does talking about it help the process?' Baghdasaryan said, adding, 'My colleagues and I from the 'My Step' faction returned from Artsakh last night. Like previous times, we spent an entire month listening to and supporting the people. We didn't go to take photos in the offices of certain officials and post those pictures online. We went to listen to those who are suffering today, not only the parents of the imprisoned but also those of the missing. Unfortunately, due to the status, I am one of the relatives of the missing, but I am confident that all of us sitting in the hall understand how sensitive this issue is. Does our public speech help the process? Not at all. Quite the opposite.'

She noted that she asks her political colleagues to be very careful with their wording on behalf of the parents. She stated that political speech at this stage could cause harm and has already jeopardized many. She emphasized, 'Let us act quietly and be consistent about the issues.'
