Free Buses from Yerevan to Stepanakert Will Continue Operating
Free buses traveling from Yerevan to Stepanakert will continue to operate as long as there is a need for them. This was stated by Mikael Virabyan, the chief advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh and coordinator of the operational headquarters of the Artsakh government, during a press conference at the press center of Armenpress.
“There are agreements with the relevant structures in Armenia for the free buses to continue operating. Passenger transfers from the “Kilikia” bus station in Yerevan are being carried out and will be conducted for as long as needed,” said Mikael Virabyan.
He noted that after the ceasefire, the number of buses heading to Artsakh was initially high. There were days when over 25 buses were providing free transportation for Artsakh residents in just one day. The current number is relatively lower. Such buses have also operated in various regional centers of Armenia.
Mikael Virabyan mentioned that today, if necessary, free passenger transfers will also be organized from the regional centers of other provinces. There are still standby buses in the regional centers for this purpose.
