Who Will Replace Arsen Torosyan: Personnel Decisions Already Made by Russia - 'Hraparak'
The decision regarding Arsen Torosyan's removal from the ministerial position has not yet been made, but names of potential replacements are already circulating within the system. Among them is the first deputy minister Anahit Avanesyan, as well as Ararat Mirzoyan's protégé, parliament member Narek Zeynalanyan, whose ministerial ambitions have been visible for some time. The conflict between the minister and the parliament's health committee has reached a public nature.
Another candidate is Mikael Adamyan, the director of the Nork-Marash Center. Additionally, former deputy minister Gagik Mirijanyan, who was appointed governor of Armavir province after the revolution with the quota from the Bright Armenia party, is also mentioned.
It is worth noting that Mirijanyan's father, professor Musheg Mirijanyan from Yerevan State Medical University’s surgery department, was charged in 2019 with organizing bribery to allow conscripts to evade military service. Who among them will be appointed as minister depends also on Russia's position. Specifically, the decrees are published in Armenia only after being approved by the Russian ambassador in Armenia,” writes the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
