Two Hostages Released in Georgia; Former Police Officer Arrested
The law enforcement authorities in Georgia conducted a special operation in the town of Kaspi, resulting in the release of two hostages. This was reported by РИА Новости.
“After several hours of negotiations, the hostages were freed during the special operation, and the suspect was apprehended. The man is accused of taking hostages. He was in a severe emotional state and was extremely irritable,” stated Vladimir Borcvadze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, to reporters.
According to him, the criminal was a former police officer who had taken hostages from his business partners, demanding a vehicle for traveling from Georgia to Russia.
