On January 16, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:00 PM, an Infiniti vehicle with license plate 99 OL 997 driven by 16-year-old Zhora Julhakyan collided with a Chevrolet with license plate 470 TT 02 driven by 28-year-old Ara Julhakyan, a resident of Lepsusi Street in Yerevan, in front of house number 19/9 on H. Babajanyan Street in the Avan district.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, Z. Julhakyan and his passengers, 16-year-old Gor Ghazaryan, 16-year-old John Yeremyan, and 17-year-old Leon Yeremyan, were transported to the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center with bodily injuries. Citizens were the first to provide assistance to the injured, followed by the firefighting squad of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Yerevan's 18th fire-rescue unit, which arrived at the scene with one combat unit.

Preliminary reports suggest that the driver of the Infiniti is responsible for the accident, having collided with the parked Chevrolet. Before the traffic police arrived, the license plates were removed from the vehicle, which are registered under the account of the National Security Service, and driver A. Julhakyan is an employee of the NSS.
