Protest in Artashat: Intercity Transport Prices Have Increased
In Artashat, the price of intercity transport has increased, but the quality remains the same. This was stated in a conversation with journalists by one of the protesting citizens against the rise in transport costs.
“We demand the ministry to conduct monitoring and find out how the tender was conducted, which allowed these low-quality buses to win the contract, given that they will not be usable after 6-7 years. The price has gone up, but the buses are not heating, the doors do not close properly, and the seats are damaged,” he said.
Participants in the action are demanding that if prices are raised, the quality must also improve; otherwise, prices should not be increased at all. It is noted that transport prices have increased by 250-300 drams.
