Total Bonuses in the Armenian Prosecutor's Office for 2020 Exceeded $1.7 Million

The total amount of bonuses distributed in the Armenian Prosecutor's Office for the year 2020 reached $1,732,694.13. This was reported by the prosecutor's office in response to a written inquiry from Fact-info.

On December 30, 2020, Fact-info sent a written request to the Prosecutor General of Armenia, asking for information on the bonuses allocated, specifically how much was distributed to employees in December, as well as whether the Prosecutor General, their deputies, and members of the collegium received any bonuses, and what the total amount was.

In another query, we asked the Prosecutor General to provide the total amount of bonuses allocated to prosecutors for the year 2020. The response from the prosecutor's office stated, "The total amount of bonuses for 2020 was 909,664,421 AMD, including taxes and payments."

Regarding the bonuses received during December, it was noted that all employees of the Armenian Prosecutor's Office (prosecutors and staff) were rewarded with a single rate during December 2020.

It is worth noting that the prosecutor's office did not address the question regarding the bonuses provided to the leadership directly, but emphasized that all employees received these funds. Consequently, the Prosecutor General and the deputies, who are in a post-war crisis situation in Armenia, also received holiday bonuses.

To note, the 909,664,421 AMD allocated to prosecutors as bonuses is equivalent to over $1.7 million at the current exchange rate.
