Shots Fired in Kotayk Province
The Kotayk police department is preparing materials regarding a case of hooliganism that occurred on January 1 in Abovyan city, reports SHAMSHYAN.com.
It has been reported that on that day, a 31-year-old resident of Elar Street in Abovyan, Mekhak Tadevosyan, fired several shots from a registered "Saiga" type shotgun in connection with the New Year celebrations.
His 50-year-old neighbor made a remark about the incident, which did not please M. Tadevosyan, leading to an argument between the two. Following the altercation, Tadevosyan left the scene.
The police are taking measures to locate M. Tadevosyan. According to reports from the photojournalist, it has also been revealed that M. Tadevosyan was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
