Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan Submits Resignation Request
Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan has submitted a resignation request. This fact was confirmed in a conversation with "Armenpress" by the acting head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Shirak Regional Administration, Araksya Kirakosyan.
According to Araksya Kirakosyan, Tigran Petrosyan will speak to reporters regarding his resignation after the government of Armenia formalizes the decision to release him from office.
Before assuming the position of Shirak Governor, Tigran Petrosyan taught computer courses at the Gyumri branch of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) from 1998 to 2000. From 2003 to 2013, he was the editor of the Shant TV game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" (with a break from 2005 to 2008). He lectured at the Gyumri branch of NPUA from 2002 to 2017. From 2013 to 2016, he was the coordinator of the construction program for the "Emily Aregak" daytime care center for children with disabilities under the Armenian Caritas charity organization, and since 2014, he has been responsible for advocacy and lobbying for Armenian Caritas. He has been a lecturer at Shirak State University since 2018 and has been the Shirak Governor since February 6, 2019. He holds a PhD in Technical Sciences.
