I Want to Say Who Argishti Kyaramyan Really Is: Deputy Colonel of NSS
During a press conference, Deputy Colonel Zohrab Avetisyan, who has served in the National Security Service (NSS) for around 23 years, announced, "I want to say who Argishti Kyaramyan really is."
He noted that Kyaramyan is a person of unknown origin who has distanced himself from his father and has transitioned from a regular investigator in the civil service to the Director of the NSS in just 5-6 years.
Avetisyan mentioned that from the 1st to the 3rd of the month, they arrived in Artsakh with the "Homeland" military group. On the 3rd, under the orders of the Ministry of Defense General Staff, they moved toward Shushi. "We were about 50-60 people. During this time, our military group came under bombardment and intense fire. After settling in, around 3:00 AM on the 3rd, a driver with a non-military title from some administrative district appeared. He told us that we needed to go to positions X and establish ourselves there. I asked who he was. He said who had sent him and told us that we needed to go quickly to establish ourselves. We told him that orders could only come from either Mr. Vanetsyan or the General Staff. He said he was told to relay what was said and left," Avetisyan recounted.
According to his words, they didn’t even have a map of the area they were supposedly going to, had no reconnaissance information, and were unfamiliar with the terrain, while that day there was fog. "This is regarding the episode that Kyaramyan had mentioned," he concluded.
