Vahram Dumanyan Introduces Newly Appointed Deputy Minister Karen Giloian

The first operational meeting of this year was held at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, chaired by Minister Vahram Dumanyan. The meeting was attended by the deputy ministers, heads of departments, and leaders of structural units and organizations within the system.

Before the meeting commenced, Vahram Dumanyan introduced and wished success to the newly appointed deputy minister Karen Giloian, who will be coordinating the sports sector. Dumanyan emphasized that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, being one of the bodies with the broadest functionalities, requires effective management, for which systemic and balanced approaches are necessary.

The minister tasked the officials with timely and proper execution of all functions, encouraging initiative and innovative proposals. The deputy ministers and department heads presented urgent issues and conceptual programs, suggesting various solutions to these challenges.

During the meeting, several other issues were discussed, including the activities of state institutions under the ministry, the implementation of programs funded by the 2021 state budget, procurement processes, and more.
