Trade Between Armenia and Kazakhstan Increased by 50 Percent in 2020
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Timur Urazayev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country. The information is reported by the Prime Minister's press service.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the close cooperation between the two countries in multilateral formats such as the EEU, CSTO, and CIS, and highlighted the continuous development of Armenian-Kazakh relations.
The Prime Minister noted that Armenia and Kazakhstan have great potential for cooperation in the economic field. In this context, he stressed the importance of the active functioning of the intergovernmental commission and the need to expand ties between the private sectors.
“Speaking about economic cooperation, Mr. Urazayev noted that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the volume of trade between the two countries increased by 50 percent in 2020, which is a good prerequisite for maintaining and developing growth rates,” the statement said.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also referred to the priorities of Kazakhstan's presidency in the EEU and discussed other issues of regional importance.
