Snapchat Permanently Bans Trump Account on Biden's Inauguration Day

Snapchat has announced that it will permanently ban the account of outgoing President Donald Trump on the day of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. This was reported by CNBC, citing a company representative.

“In the interest of public safety, as well as to prevent the spread of misinformation, hate speech, and efforts to incite violence, which clearly violate our principles, we have made the decision to permanently ban his account,” said the spokesperson.

It was noted that the company recently informed that it had indefinitely suspended Trump's account following the attack on the Capitol organized by his supporters.
