«One Time Vazgen Threw Stones at the Yerevan-Baku-Moscow Train, My Parents Were Called to the Police» - Aram Sargsyan
«Republic» Party President Aram Sargsyan, in a conversation with journalists regarding the issue of unblocking, stated, «There is no people in the world that wants to live in a blockade. No one will understand us if we say we want to live closed off, because it feels safer that way. We must say 'yes' to any unblocking,» he noted, while emphasizing that there are numerous issues and complexities that need attention.
«Even during the Soviet Union, there were unblockings, but when the Yerevan-Baku-Moscow train passed by during the Ararat-Neftchi games or after reading 'Georg Marzpetuni,' we would throw stones at it… There was no issue of judging schoolchildren, but one time my brother Vazgen threw stones at that train, and my parents were called to the police,» Aram Sargsyan recalled.
«The whole issue is that neither Azerbaijan nor we are leaving this territory. It’s not like an apartment building where we live on the third floor, and the neighbor on the fourth floor is pouring water on us, saying we can just sell the house and move elsewhere. There’s no way,» Sargsyan added.
