My Step Alliance Elated: Jhaghinyan to Go to the Supreme Judicial Council and Set Matters Straight

According to the 'Zhoghovurd' daily, a session of the Supreme Judicial Council is scheduled to take place today to discuss the candidacy of Gagik Jhaghinyan for membership in the Council. Reports circulating in the judicial system indicate that Jhaghinyan has stated that the case manager Khachatur Sukiasyan told him to 'stay calm,' assuring him that he would speak with Gagik Tsarukyan, and that the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) would vote in favor of Jhaghinyan's candidacy.

However, judges have noted that Jhaghinyan can only join the Supreme Judicial Council if there is a change in the law, and, in fact, they would likely not accept a senior member. Regarding a meeting that took place in the National Assembly yesterday, our sources inform us that the closed meeting between the 'My Step' faction's MPs and Jhaghinyan was held in a warm atmosphere. The members of 'My Step' were reportedly impressed by Jhaghinyan and left the meeting astonished that they had finally found someone capable of speaking 'with determination,' further adding to their own resolve.

Jhaghinyan spoke in detail about the events in Mataghis and provided insights into the case. Questions were also raised regarding the events of October 27, to which Jhaghinyan responded by stating that he has repeatedly presented his position on the matter. Our sources also report that the offer for this position was made by faction leader Lilit Makunts together with secretary Hakob Simidyan, certainly with the knowledge of Nikol Pashinyan. It should be noted that members of 'My Step' were in a state of euphoria yesterday, believing that Jhaghinyan would indeed go to the Supreme Judicial Council and set all matters straight.
